Toronto coverage and property eligibility

Check the selected Toronto postal territory, non-condominium home type and authority to arrange work before preparing an ordinary repair enquiry.

This checks the listed territory, not an exact address or ownership status.

Property type is a separate check

Ordinary enquiries are limited to non-condominium detached homes, semi-detached homes and freehold townhouses in the City of Toronto. Low-rise condominiums and condo townhouses remain excluded, along with high-rises, commercial properties and unconfirmed property types.

Confirm that the person arranging the work has authority over the affected component. A home’s appearance or postal prefix does not establish that authority.

Four selected territory exclusions

M5B, M5G, M5H and M5J are outside this site’s selected business territory. This does not mean that every building in those prefixes is a condominium. Every other match still needs the property and authority checks.

Toronto means the City of Toronto

Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Pickering and other municipalities outside Toronto are not included. M7R and unlisted or special postal assignments are not accepted by this enquiry tool.

The first three postal characters identify a forward sortation area. A format check cannot confirm that a full code is assigned, locate an exact home or establish building type. Area labels below are broad orientation; postal and neighbourhood boundaries are not interchangeable.
